Against whom the new Latvian president A.Berzinsh will be on friendly terms?

On June 2, the new president A.Berzinsh has been elected in the second round of voting in Latvia. This is the former banker, well-to-do person. He has agreed to propose his candidacy to elections, obviously, at the desire of the friend, the known Latvian oligarch A. Lembergs. He was proposed by the representatives of the party "Green and peasants", entering into ruling coalition. A.Berzinsh's promotion has occurred in peak to a nominee of the operating until recently, the president V.Zatlers who was nominated by the second party of ruling coalition - "Unity" for repeated term.

There was a sharp conflict between the partners in a coalition which the president of that time V. Zatlers has tried to resolve, having declared the procedure initiation of Seim dissolution, ostensibly, for the suppression of absolute power of oligarchs and general corruption in the country. The criminal cases were instituted against A. Lembergs and two other Latvian oligarchs - A. Shlessers and A. Shlessers and the indicative searches were spent at their offices and houses. It was done for couple of days to presidential election! The calculation was that the oligarchs will tremble, come crawling in a lap to V.Zatlers and will ask pardons for unwillingness to serve the Americans, the interests in Latvia of whom V.Zatlers began to represent since recently. However you can’t frighten the Latvian oligarchs with poverty and prison - they have passed good Soviet school. They quickly have weaved an intrigue skillfully, the result of which was A.Berzinsh's election as the president.

Naturally now, the present Cabinet of Ministers headed by the representative of the party "Unity" V. Dombrovskis, should fall. The promotion of the candidacy of the prime minister is a prerogative of the Latvian president. Most likely, A. Berzinsh will propose A.Lembergs's candidacy. He will receive the voices of such parties as "Green and peasants", "For the best Latvia" (the heads are A. Shlessers and A. Shkele) and “Consent Center” (the last, most likely, it is reserved from opposition). For remained to elections of a new Seim four months A. Lembergs on a post of the prime minister can make many important things: will disperse the Office of Public Prosecutor and special services which have opened hunting for oligarchs by the request of the Americans, will carry out the privatization of the necessary objects and receive money for the pre-election company, will direct the state mass-media to the destruction of party" Unity" etc. Then, for end of this important work, A. Lembergs will have still two months on a post of the prime minister - till the deputies’ introduction into powers of again selected Seim. And then, A.Berzinsh will offer to the deputies of new Seim the same A.Lembergs to the post of the prime minister. And it will be not the worst candidacy for the exclusion of the country from crisis. The parties "Green and peasants" and "Consent Center" will have more than 50 % of votes in sum in new Seim. The party "For the best Latvia" will successfully descend from a political scene as oligarchic but its people remain in other parties in power. And the national forces, in the name of party "Unity" and small radical party "All Latvia" will appear in a new Seim in minority.

Owing to all this state of affairs, present pro-American party in power "Unity" makes sense to give a command to hang out the national flags with mourning ribbons today in the country.

However, for those who don't read the newspaper, the naval doctrines of forces of NATO began today in the Baltic Sea which is provided, inter alia, to land the commandoes at coast.
