Address to citizens of the countries of the European Union of the Civil congress and parliamentary opposition of the Republic of Moldova

In 2009 the Alliance for the European integration came to the power in the Republic of Moldova. Possibly, the name of new ruling coalition became the basis of absolute and comprehensive trust to new board from the European Union. For incomplete four years of board the so-called pro-European Alliance received about one and a half billion dollars of grants and the credits from the European Union.

Thus the citizens of the countries of the European union actually gave to the Moldavian power about two million average monthly pensions, one and a half million average monthly unemployment benefits, 750 000 average monthly student's grants from the income and the paid taxes. And all this manifestation of the all-European solidarity happened and occurs in days of the most severe economic crisis which has struck the whole world and the European Union in particular.

How the Moldavian power disposed this help? What successes achieved with so considerable support from citizens of the European Union?

For the last four years more than one hundred schools are closed in Moldova. According to the official statistics for the first time about 30% of children of school age aren't captured by an education system in Moldova. Maternal mortality increased twice. Now the lowest living wage in Europe is in Moldova. Thus 90% of pensions are below a living wage. The considerable part of the European help was directed on construction of new roads, but here is the effect: in 2012 Moldova took the last (144th) place in the world on quality of roads.

The crime increased for 40%. Corruption scandals in the Moldavian power led to long political crisis and government resignation. In the international rating of corruption Moldova fell to the 112th place, having made even to Kosovo and Egypt.

Continuous violations of the Constitution by the authorities, intervention in legal proceedings, political repressions and closing of oppositional mass media created in the country a clan, oligarchic, criminal regime. According to the international ratings of the rule of law Moldova takes now the 77th place (from 97), the position of the country in the international rating of freedom of mass media decreased.

Daily Moldova is left by more than hundred families, more than three hundred thousand citizens stand in a queue on obtaining of foreign nationality. According to all sociological polls follows that 86% of citizens of Moldova consider that affairs in the country go in the incorrect direction. The number of supporters of the European choice for Moldova decreased almost by forty percent.

And all this occurs only for the unique reason: money and means of the European taxpayers was given in a charge of the real criminals who have taken the government in the Republic of Moldova. Their only alibi is a notorious fidelity to “the European values”. Exactly following them, the present Moldavian power established the actual oligarchic dictatorship in the country, enters an apartheid regime for a third of the population making ethnic minorities, deprives of them legitimate rights and freedoms. Under the patronage of the European officials this power deprives the Moldavian people of the main thing – the right to a free democratic choice, to the lawful opportunity to change the power in the country by free democratic elections.

We address to you by this message in search of support, in search of the true European solidarity. We ask you: don't allow more European officials to finance a gangster regime in Moldova at your expense. Remember: each your euro, each your cent goes today on construction of country houses and on purchase of expensive cars of the Moldavian officials, goes to the offshore into accounts of oligarchs and political “elite” serving them. Let's stop together the anti-European arbitrariness in the centre of Europe!
