NATO has turned into a shared apartment with all consequences

The educated Europe didn't know earlier what is the shared apartment … Ad notam of the foreign colleagues, as the president Dmitry Medvedev likes to say, this is such a big apartment, the number of rooms of which varies from two to twenty and in each of which a family lives. The shared apartments have started to appear in the USSR right after the civil war when the people from poor city suburbs and the destroyed villages began to move in the former profitable houses and private residences of the plunged bourgeoisie. The common kitchen, a toilet and a bathroom, huge corridors became the united house for many families. Certainly, there were the conflicts in such conditions continually: someone's husband will fill a muzzle to another's visitor, someone's wife will take not her own pan, someone won't switch off the light in the public space … Of course, there were the pleasant exceptions to the rules but they were rather rare.
And here Europe has received, that it never knew: the young members of the North Atlantic alliance, flaring hatred to the totalitarian past, have there and then started to correct it in the present and have quarreled with themselves at once, having brought in patriarchal Europe the spirit of scandals, a smell of the burned-out sunflower-seed oil, a dirty toilet bowl and other amenities of a shared apartment.
All has begun with the Baltic States, which tried strenuously to struggle with the Russian language, to demand the irreproachable knowledge of state languages and to enter the interdictions for the profession for whose, who doesn't know it. Then the war with the past was threw on the monuments and renaming of everything that only is possible … Estonia and Latvia strenuously were engaged in the organization of marches of former SS-men, possibly, considering that exactly they are the roots of their present statehood …
The Old Europe looked at all this with amazement, hoping that these phenomena occur, so to say, from the excessive diligence and the nursery spontaneity of new countries, namely the NATO members. I’ll say, two and even three state languages go hand in hand in many European countries …
However the further process has got out of hand at all: Lithuania which has balanced the Nazi and Soviet symbols, having forbidden both, have started to rename the names and surnames of the Poles living in its territory and to refuse them to study on their native, that is, the Polish language. The proud Poland was indignant ad locum and has begun to send the delegations to Lithuania, reminding that the Lithuanians weren't fancy themselves as they have received the Vilnius region just from the totalitarian Soviet Union … Each of the Baltic States considers as a good form at least once a month to declare about the growing Russian military threat at total absence even the slightest signs of it…
There are rough discussions continually in Poland on a theme, what territories Russia should give to it to expiate the sins of the Romanovs’ house, the Zaporozhye Cossacks, Suvorov and Stalin …
Romania has started actively to show the territorial claims to the next Ukraine and has got to itself the Zmeiny island together with gas layers through the European court thanks to ex-president Victor Yushchenko. Moreover, it also began to give out the passports to all who was interested to receive. The desire to include the independent Moldova in its structure is "the fixed idea" for the Romanian ruling groups.
At last, Hungary has just accepted the new constitution where it is obliged to protect the citizens everywhere where only it is possible and thus speaks not about the community of citizens of Hungary but about the Hungarian nation in ethnic sense, involving the foreign Hungarians in it and going out of the limits of today's borders of the country. Hungary has appeared in the stature of the defeated after the First World War and the part of its territory was a part of Czech Republic, Romania and Yugoslavia. The big Magyar national minority was formed there. Now the great number of the Hungarians lives in Ukraine and Serbia, Slovakia and Romania. The two last countries are the members of NATO …
The Magyar is almost one and a half million in Romania (7 percent of the population), in Slovakia — half a million (about 10 percent), in Serbia — 400 thousand (5 percent and almost 20 percent of the population of Voevodino autonomous region). At last, about 150 thousand of Magyar lives in the Ukrainian Zakarpatye (12 percent of the population of region). The authorities didn't include a phrase in a new variant of the Hungarian constitution that the Hungarian state doesn't threaten with violence of territorial integrity of neighboring countries.
The most interesting is that all these quarrels shake a boat of NATO much more strongly than the former Soviet military threat, Saddam Hussein, Muamar Kaddafi, Ahmadinejad, Talibs and terrorists of all colors led by Osama bin Laden. It is not enough that this "youth" continually fights among themselves … As soon as somewhere there is a military conflict with the participation of NATO, for example, in Iraq or Afghanistan, the armies of "young" Europeans even if they get to such places, don't afire with the desire to substitute the certain places under bullets, generously giving such possibility to «old checked up» shots and simply evading from a duty to join battle... Perhaps they take care for internal showdowns with neighbors?
The point of view of the USA and Great Britain earlier traditionally prevailed in NATO which literally breaking out the hand partners, pushed the new and new members in the block from a number of former communist countries and the Baltic republics of the USSR. To keep the Russian bear on «a short leash» is an old and completely not nice tradition of Anglo-American diplomacy. Several administrations of the American presidents gave the credit for the creation of new "Iron Curtain" round Russia …

But what Europe has received? The amicable company of rowdies who needs more than the alleged danger from Russia and who sleeps and dreams of the beginning of repartition of borders and some of them have rolled down on a position of extreme nationalism and revision of results of the Second World War. There is only Georgia with odious Saakashvili and West Ukrainian nationalists with the desire to begin the slaughter of the Moskals, Poles and Jews again are not enough in this grouping …
The world wars already two times began in Europe. And each time it was promoted by unique ability of the heads of the European states to shut eyes to abundantly clear things … It isn’t necessary to become like the tenants of a shared apartment who don’t want to contact the neighbor-hooligan: he all the same sooner or later will bang somebody at a head with axe or even will set fire to all apartment …
