Nobody praise except yourself…
The president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili who will leave the post on October 27, more than once said that he is going to remain in policy after will resign authority of the head of state. And if it is so, it is a high time to make loud statements that you won’t be forgotten:
- I remain in policy. I feel high potential, we have many active supporters. The main thing that there are big projects which we didn't finish
It is more interesting to argue on the future, especially, if the present doesn't suit the ambitious politician at all. Recently he complained of the present situation:
- It is more similar to honourable pension. Here I sit in an office … There is nothing to do … The last ten months I sit in my office and hate it. Nothing occurs… There is nothing worse than it. Therefore I decided to go to a three-day campaign on foot on Tobavarchkhili's lake if only to run away from this office and not to think of it.
Before the expiration of presidential term my activity will be directed on listening to the people, to hold many meetings with it. I also plan to open educational wine and rod centre in Kakheti and Kartli. I think this culture can bring the incomes even in the presence of small grounds.
I also want to create training centre of political science in Tbilisi... I will continue promoting of our country for the purpose of tourism development in our country.
But if nothing to be done especially, it is possible to talk. And it is obligatory to praise myself:
- For those who had a temptation to call into question my fidelity to the Euro-Atlantic ideals and the relations with the West, I want to tell that activity of any politician, especially the president, is estimated by policy pursued by him for years.
The result of the policy pursued by us was that fact that in August, 2008 the whole world got on feet for rescue of the Georgian statehood … The international support and courage of the Georgian armed forces made a miracle and the Russian army couldn't destroy our statehood.
I hope that the new government won't destroy this progress and on the contrary, will strengthen the work in this direction. For this purpose it is necessary not to stop reforms and to continue with the accelerated rates.
