Saakashvili continues to distribute the Georgian lands
On May 6, the Azerbaijani frontier guards have occupied the territory of the Georgian monastery David-Garedzha without notice. This ancient orthodox temple is in the disputable border, which both Georgia and Azerbaijan consider as own one.
But instead of trying to solve this question by diplomatic means, Mikheil Saakashvili preferred to pretend that it doesn't concern him. Obsessed by “fixed" idea of the accession to NATO and blitzkrieg towards Abkhazia and South Ossetia, he is ready to be on sale, seemingly, though to the devil, without speaking about giving an ancient relic of Georgia.
The monastery is in only 60 kilometers from the Georgian capital Tbilisi. The Azerbaijani military are quite capable to subject the capital of “great” Georgia to attacks.
It is necessary to say that Mishiko is bad negotiator... And who will contact him from decent politicians after the events of August, 2008 when he, having disdained all norms of international law, started to kill the citizens and the Russian peacekeepers with the hands of the bandits?
It should be noted that cunning Mishiko tried to agree with Baku: he will leave a monastery of Georgia to Azerbaijan and Baku will give the mountains surrounding it. But Baku didn't believe in respectability of the Georgian president and simply occupied a monastery...
By the way, the USA, which Mishiko actually idolizes, even didn't mention a word about this event, than confirmed the truth once again: so-called “allies” are different for them and it is as the used floor cloth which isn't a pity for throwing out. Now we will try to imagine, could such occur, if Saakashvili wouldn't quarrel with Russia and, on the contrary, would be its ally in the Caucasus? The question is rhetorical.
It is interesting that after war of August 8, 2008, Mishiko repeatedly declared that Georgia will quite manage without the Russian gas. Really, it passed to the Azerbaijani sources of deliveries, but... Now, seemingly, nobody perceives it as the subject of international policy, Georgia became the territory on which the stronger players play. What do this country and the unfortunate Georgian people await now? After all its neighbors have many territorial claims and many areas of the country dream how to gain the independence of the unlucky successor of the great Georgian tsars...
