Crash of Ukraine is the opposition consequence of the West and Russia

Ukraine became the arena of global opposition and the main parties of this conflict interest the further destiny of Ukrainians a little. The director of the Centre of strategic researches of the Caucasus Mamuka Areshidze answers the questions of the Internet portal «The world and we».
— How does Georgia treat a situation in Ukraine?
Of course, the positive relation can’t be to the events in Ukraine. But, besides, these events cause steady feeling of «deja vu» — they are extremely similar to that occurred in Georgia at the beginning of the 90th. Besides the parties make the same mistakes that were then. It is both the Ukrainian and Russian parties and representatives of DNR and LNR.
Dynamics of succession of events says that they will be tightened for a long time. It is clear that there will be a considerable hostility between the most part of Ukrainians and Russians which will last for years. Unfortunately, there was that never had to occur between two people having the general root.
—Do you see the connection between events in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Egypt with that occur in Ukraine? Is it the adjusted export of «colour revolutions» which is carried out by the western states to these countries?
It is one-sided, tactical approach in many respects. In this case the mistakes are made from both parties. The Russian authorities put a situation to such an extent because for many years tried to put on those people who were obviously pseudo-pro-Russian. A lot of money left on «adoption» of the Russian influence in Ukraine, but it isn’t known in whose pockets they settled.
And then, when saw that their rivals, the West, behaved more cleverly and much more effectively worked with the same money, passed directly to power actions. Russia is able to work so — scatters money absolutely for nothing, the part of this money is pocketed by the Russian officials, another part by local pseudo-pro-Russian politicians and then when nothing turns out, passes to power actions.
It is clear to all that there is an opposition between the West and Russia in Ukraine now and Ukrainians are minor in this situation. By and large it doesn’t excite anybody, including representatives of the Southeast. Therefore in this case to point a finger only to the west counterproductively means to stay in illusion. Both that and others are pretty fellows and Ukraine became the arena of geopolitical opposition between these forces.
— Can the events which will occur further in DNR and LNR have some parallels with that occurred in Abkhazia and South Ossetia?
It is almost the same and the same people participate in some events or similar to them. The Russian citizens, only in the form of confederates of the mountain people participated in Abkhazia too. There were also Cossacks some heads of whom are at war in Ukraine now.
Besides, Chechens, the southern Ossetians and Abkhazians, and also Maikop crew with the motley North Caucasian structure participate in these events. The new is that there were European fighters from that and other party in a large number.
— Can the states of the Caucasus and Central Asia be the following purpose of export of «colour revolutions», the arena of opposition of Russia and the West?
Such prospect exists, especially in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Of course, if Russia doesn’t manage to make anticipatory actions. Besides, in Central Asia serious force is gained by the Islamic movement which shortly will try to appropriate the southern states, first of all Afghanistan. Afghanistan and then Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will get hit firstly.
And here the situation will have the character of «one has met his match» — considerable resources will be used from both parties and it is extremely difficult to predict an outcome of this opposition. Anyway, these events have the general, global character and they need to be considered from the point of view of global opposition of the main world players.
