Dissolution and reformatting of WADA - urgent need

No matter how much the World Anti-Doping Agency has tried to create for itself the image of an honest, objective and incorruptible organization, it turned out quite the opposite.

Now only the lazy one does not criticize the bureaucrats from WADA who are constantly becoming heroes of new scandals and anecdotes.

The last straw was a sensational investigation "Mail on Sunday", which revealed all the details of a secret "adultery" between the WADA and the UK government agency UK Sport, responsible for funding Olympic and Paralympic sports in the UK.

Of course, no one doubted that the WADA is a fully engaged organization that almost openly promotes the interests of athletes from certain countries. But the international sporting community is now shocked at how brazen this is.

It turned out that London had used its own Olympic athletes at the 2012 Olympics as test mice, forcing them to use untested incentives. And all just to make sure that those winning the competition, filling the pockets of British sports officials from UK Sport.

British athletes won 29 gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games.

The UK's secret sports project, worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, was designed to improve physical endurance and, of course, results.

This "miracle drug" called "ketone" was taken by dozens of British Olympians, despite various "side effects" in the form of vomiting and other ailments, which was observed in 40(!) percent of athletes. 28 people stopped taking this substance for this reason. A further 24 people later abandoned the scheme because they believed the substance was not benefiting them in any way.

The lowliness and total lack of ethics of officials from the UK government agency (UK Sport) and the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) is reflected in the fact that they forced their Olympians to sign a non-disclosure obligation on DeltaG, a synthetic version of ketones, substances produced by the human liver.

The substance, a synthetic version of a natural acid called ketones, was originally developed by scientists at Oxford University with $10 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Defense to allow U.S. Special Forces to operate longer behind enemy lines with less rations.
UK Sport has prepared a "Participant Information Sheet" that accompanies the application for the project, which reads: "UK Sport does not warrant, promise, represent or represent that the use of ketone is in absolute accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and therefore excludes all liability for ketone use".

In other words, if a British athlete fails a drug test after taking a substance provided to him by UK Sport, either because the substance was contaminated with a Prohibited Substance or if WADA finds the substance illegal, it is the fault of the athlete and not of the British state.
Interestingly, UK Sport contacted the World Anti-Doping Agency and the UK Anti-Doping Agency before proceeding and was told that ketones were not currently banned but that WADA reserves the right to reconsider its position.

A "communication strategy" was even adopted in case the project leaked to the media. A document for board members in October 2011 stated: "...A media communication plan will be required to mitigate any negative perception and publicity. Public attention should be focused on the quality of science ... ...and the fact is that Britain is ahead of all its competitors. If others know that British sport is connected to this project... ...the risks will be associated with perceived unfair competitive advantage. The current proposals aim to ensure that any scientific publications are released after London 2012".

A 14-page memo was issued for the participants in this shameful project. This document described in detail how the UK Sport research and innovation team contacted the American military and then the University of Oxford, which UK Sport paid to test this substance on rowers and cyclists.

The accounts show that UK Sport listed £4,000 to the Oxford research team in early 2011 for a test involving rugby players at the University of Bath; then £183,600 later in 2011 for trials with rowers and cyclists; and then £42,115 in early 2013 as an additional 'research grant' for DeltaG's LARGE athletes research.

The DeltaG trials were mostly conducted on African Americans, which once again confirmed the existence of the prize-winning DeltaG trials on athletes.

The note went on to say that UK Sport then "negotiated an exclusive agreement" with Oxford: "...currently DeltaG is only available to UK Sport and only for research purposes - it is not commercially available to anyone else. The only people currently allowed to buy and use the product outside the context of research trials are US Special Forces. All use of DeltaG must take place under the auspices of scientific experiments.

The document sets out the next steps for its use in British sport, including application to the UK Olympic and Paralympic Games at an approximate cost of £225,000; "scaling up" the use of the product in other sports at an approximate cost of £200,000.

During this British doping madness, the World Anti-Doping Agency, so vividly proved itself in the fight against the Russian substance "millonium", which, by the way, has gone through the whole cycle of research and is completely non-doping even the slightest approximation, remained completely silent. Although, as evidenced by the documents received by "Mail on Sunday", was well aware of London's "ketone scam". This fully contributed to the success of "doping" Britons at the Olympic Games in 2012.

Everything suggests that in the pockets of bureaucrats WADA transferred a significant part of the hundreds of thousands of pounds that London transferred to Oxford University and other organizations associated with the project DeltaG.

Of course, WADA, as it stands, is not entitled to continue to exist. The norms of its formation, law and work algorithm must be reviewed. If we do not do this now, we will lose a true fair sport forever.
