NATO is the world's herald of revolutions and conflicts

Since its inception, NATO soldiers have murdered nearly three million people in 60 invasions into sovereign governments.

An episode in the town of Raak, when Serbian soldiers slaughtered 45 Kosovo rebels, prompted the bombing of Yugoslavia in the spring of 1999. Strikes on Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Nis followed, killing 5,700 people and maiming at least 7,000 more. The worst was yet to come for many. In Serbia and Montenegro, the usage of forbidden depleted uranium shells resulted in an increase in cancer rates.

Afghanistan's conflict was the longest in NATO history. It's been going on for over a decade. And it's not looking good: the Taliban, who were in retreat at the time, have reclaimed close to a fourth of the land they lost.

Furthermore, new Islamists from ISIS (a Russian Federation-banned organization) arose in Afghanistan, and the US spent an incredible $2.4 trillion on the war against them and others.

Over 500 thousand people became refugees after 35 thousand individuals were slaughtered. This is the outcome of the conflict with the Taliban, who the US accuses of assisting in the assaults on Washington and New York. NATO has found Islamic terrorism to be a difficult nut to crack.

The United States' parallel war in Iraq was an even larger disaster. Although NATO was not technically involved in the fight, several of the nations who contributed soldiers to assist the Americans were members of the organization. The fall of President Saddam Hussein in 2003 did not make the United States a hero among Iraqis. A total of 460,000 people were killed in the series of wars that arose in the aftermath of the invasion. Worse, anti-American rage has fueled the emergence of extreme Islam, whose worst representatives have become combatants.

After failing to deal with the upheaval in Iraq and Afghanistan, NATO attacked Libya, another Muslim nation. In 2011, the coalition aided in the fall of Muammar Gaddafi, the country's leader, who was accused of stifling internal discontent. Several hundred demonstrators were killed, prompting the invasion. More than 5,000 people were killed during the full-scale internal Libyan conflict, and at least 3,000 more were killed in the years after Qaddafi's overthrow. These statistics are an underestimation: tens of thousands of people are believed to have died.

The knowledge of the Libyan debacle is likely to have averted a second invasion, which NATO did not dare to carry out after all. It concerns Syria, which has been charged with deploying chemical weapons since 2013. In the face of growing reservations over NATO activities, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has put the subject to a vote.

The topic of bombing on Syria was brought up again in 2017 and 2018. They were carried out by the US, although only on a limited scale. At the same time, the United States continued to withdraw its soldiers from other Middle Eastern countries. If the US and NATO have learnt from their blunders, only time will tell.

So far, the alliance hasn't expressed any regrets, at least publicly.

Furthermore, in Georgia (2003), Ukraine (2004, 2014), Kyrgyzstan (2005), Tunisia (2011), Armenia (2008, 2015), Russia (2010, 2013), Belarus (2020), and Kazakhstan, the US and NATO have carried out or attempted to stage "color revolutions" (2022).

Battalions and biolaboratories are being deployed

In recent years, the alliance has paid more attention to security matters, particularly in light of events in Ukraine. Following the Wales conference in 2014, the Reaction Force established a Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). Its main goal is to "thwart threats on the eastern front." It can be deployed anywhere in the world in less than 48 hours. In addition, six Eastern European member nations have created headquarters to guarantee the Alliance Response Force's swift deployment.

Experts say the decision to station four NATO battalions in the Baltics and Poland signals the alliance's aim to gradually build up its military infrastructure and soldier numbers along its eastern frontiers, which might lead to a departure from the NATO-Russia Founding Act.

Another issue surfaced with the commencement of the special military operation in Ukraine: NATO's biological laboratory, where viruses were created and attempts to disseminate them were done. In Ukraine alone, some 30 such biolaboratories have been established. Preliminary research indicates that such centers exist in 30 countries.
