Poroshenko's “peaceful” rhetoric is the preparation for genocide continuation

The known Kiev journalist and the political scientist Alexander Chalenko tells in interview to «The world and we» about the true reasons of recent peace initiatives of the president of Ukraine.

— What is your relation to Poroshenko’s recent statement that the crisis in the Southeast of Ukraine can’t be resolved by a military way with the subsequent sharp renewal of operations?

The Kiev junta doesn’t have enough forces, that to allow this crisis in the military way — to crush DNR and LNR militia. They are able to do it, considering clear superiority in heavy arms, guns, tanks, mortars. They can wipe out, Lugansk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Donetsk and other cities. But in that case, if they go to it, that paradigm in which they work will absolutely exchange.
Now it is a question that there is no any revolt, these are the Russian terrorists who have come from Russia, seized these cities, and the majority of the population groans and dreams only of that to be exempted from them. The population, allegedly, isn’t at war, these are peace citizens — miners extract the coal, metallurgists melt the ore. And if to crush the terrorists, there will be the calmness at once. And that would be dissatisfied, will be given decentralization and the regional status of the Russian language. But if all of them destroy by bombing, all will have a question — if only the terrorists were at war there, why you then destroyed the cities — you had to conduct negotiations? Therefore they can’t go to it.
The Ukrainian army which is driven, mobilized and «sits» under Izyum and Chuguev, doesn’t want to be at war and practically isn’t supplied. Military perfectly understand that all stories on television about any terrorists aren’t true. And the Kiev mode already feels hostility of army which doesn’t understand what it does there.
Unlike the Ukrainian army, in the militia all volunteers are at war under the command of experts who passed Afghanistan and Chechnya. Generally it is the people, ready to give life for Novorossiya’s statement. And the difference in fighting spirit is so great that, for example, Pavel Gubarev, the national governor of DNR, told that 95% of the militia in Slavyansk didn’t see any Ukrainian military as those don’t enter direct clash with the militia. They can fire only, and being in an inaccessibility of mortars of a militia.
This fact distinctly testifies to «level» of training and fighting spirit of the Ukrainian army. How is it possible to crush someone with such army? Therefore, naturally, Poroshenko had to take a break to rearrange the forces, and then to begin new approach.
Probably, it is as had a desire to agree the world, but is very peculiar — to try to convince the Kremlin to hand over own people in exchange on certain concessions — the neutral status of Ukraine, the status of the Russian language. Exactly in this way he tried to use peace initiatives. Naturally, the Kremlin didn’t make such concessions, as is confirmed by renewal of active phase of anti-terrorist operation as «peace steps» for this purpose stopped being necessary.
Besides, the position of Europe influences also where after the next elections to the European Parliament, many right-wing parties and movement of «European skeptics» entered who oppose the participation of EU in deployment of the next military conflict inspired by the USA. In this regard Kiev made an attempt to create visibility of peace arrangements and to appear in front of Europe «peacekeepers» whom the most extreme situation forced to continue the operations.

— How much do Poroshenko and the Kiev mode control a situation with various «battalions» of the Ukrainian fighters, do they cope from Kiev or submit to only their owners oligarchs?

There are both the Ukrainian army, National Guard, private armies of oligarchs, including, Kolomoysky. Probably, there are also separate, uncontrollable groups there. But I don’t trust that any divisions will begin operations in itself, for example, in the center of Kiev. So, for example, both Maidan, of course, weren’t spontaneous performance. If the people were engaged in it, Kuchma still would govern at us, not to mention Yanukovych. All these so-called spontaneous performances of masses are the organized joint special operations of Washington, the Ukrainian opposition and national mass meeting. The same concerns also the actions of so-called «uncontrollable» divisions.
For example, the success of revolution against Poroshenko is possible only if it is authorized by Washington. If it isn’t, they simply will burn the tires and everything will end. But if in Washington decide that Poroshenko is not that person, then they authorize revolution and will have to understand who will be ready to become at the head of the country instead of him.
Really, there are such divisions which work independently.
But the main thing — whether these groups are the threat for Poroshenko’s presidency? I consider that it isn’t present, and won’t be — only if Washington decides to discharge him of the power. Tymoshenko and Kolomoysky are completely dependent on Washington. They, maybe, would like to overthrow Poroshenko, and, probably, even to kill. But they perfectly understand that it can’t be made without sanction of Washington. If they make it, they will be outlawed, and they are waited by exile, in the worst — the death. Therefore nobody would go to it.
Concerning «controllability» of all these groups — the American Embassy is able to work, unlike the Russian. They established numerous ties with all field commanders and people who control them long ago. «Right Sector» is completely controlled by the American Embassy. Also it happens through Valentyn Nalyvaichenko including. If «Right Sector» was the independent organization, he would lift the revolt in Kiev at once when Sasha Bely was killed. But it didn’t occur. Because they were told to sit silently. And all field commanders perfectly understand that if they will twitch, they would be killed. They won’t run across the party of Russians.

— In your opinion, to what soon recent actions of the Kiev mode will lead — impossibility of renewal of peace process and further escalation of operations?

I think that hardly something will be from these maneuvers of the Kiev junta because we see that two Novorossiysk republics become tempered in fights, many volunteers came already. Military units are seized step by step, strategic objects are taken under control, guerrilla operations start performing already in the territory of the enemy, there are new arms. And every hour everything will be heavier to battle to these two republics to the Kiev mode.
